Chargeable securities are:

stocks, shares and loan capital;

interests in, or in dividends or other rights arising out of, stocks, shares or loan capital;

rights to allotments of or to subscribe for, or options to acquire, stocks, shares or loan capital; and

units under a unit trust scheme.

(FA 1986, s. 99(3)).

This definition alone would cause SDRT to have worldwide, extra-territorial application, so in the case of securities issued or raised by a body corporate incorporated outside the United Kingdom, nexus is needed in the form of:
