In exercise of the power of delegation, personal representatives may authorise one or more of their number to exercise functions as their agent, but only a joint exercise of a delegable function is permitted if more than one person is authorised to act as agent.41 However, personal representatives may not authorise beneficiaries (whatever the nature of their interest in the estate)42 to exercise any function as their agent, even if the beneficiary is also a personal representative.43
