If an allowance is made under any one Part of the Capital Allowances Act 2001, then no allowance may be made under any other Part to the same person in respect of the same expenditure (or of any asset to which that expenditure related). This is specifically extended to cover expenditure within a plant or machinery pool where, on a technicality, it might otherwise be possible to argue that such expenditure would not be covered.
