HMRC’s RDRM 12900 sets out in great detail the records they expect individuals to be keeping for the purposes of the SRT. These can be quite onerous, especially with regards to hours worked. Detailed evidence must be kept in respect of work days and hours – and where these are performed and what work activity was performed, including training and travelling – as it is likely that HMRC will scrutinise this area in great detail.
