The taxpayer may have more than one unit of accommodation let for holiday purposes. If so, it isn’t necessary for each unit to have actually been let for at least 105 days, provided each unit satisfies the 210-day rule for availability and does not exceed the 155-day rule for long-term occupancy. In such circumstances the taxpayer may claim averaging treatment in order to satisfy the 105-day rule.
