(1) Arbitration services

Arbitration services are essentially taxable services which are, arguably, provided jointly to each of the parties concerned. Because of this, the whole of the fee should, on the face of it be standard-rated where one of the parties is in the UK, despite the fact that, in principle, the supply is within VATA 1994, former Sch. 5.
