Because the disposal of original holding is ignored (see ¶560-050), the investor is deemed to have acquired the new holding at the time of, for the same consideration as, and in the same circumstances as the original holding (TCGA 1992, s. 127). Where additional consideration is payable for the new holding, it is treated as if it had been incurred on the original holding (see ¶560-150).
