In principle, there is a taxable benefit if an employer pays the cost of transport home for an employee. If, for example, a security shift ends at 2am, and public transport has by then ceased, the employer may regularly pay for a taxi to take an employee home. Such payment will be a taxable benefit for the employee in question.
