Various regulations have been made specifying payments that qualify as authorised member payments. These include:

(1)the Registered Pension Schemes (Authorised Payments) (Transfer to the Pension Protection Fund) Regulations 2006 (SI 2006/134), which specify (in reg. 2), a transfer of the property, rights and liabilities of a registered pension scheme to the Board of the Pension Protection Fund;

(2)the Registered Pension Schemes (Authorised Member Payments) Regulations 2006 (SI 2006/137), which specify certain payments made in connection with the demutualisation of an insurance company; and
