A charity lump sum death benefit is a lump sum which is paid;

on the death of an individual who was:

a member who had no dependants;

the only dependant of the member (see ¶392-050); or

a nominee or a successor (see ¶392-060) of the member, where there are no dependants of that member,

in respect of either a drawdown pension fund (see ¶392-500) or a flexi-access drawdown fund (see ¶392-520, ¶392-610, ¶392-630 and ¶392-640), to a charity nominated by the member or the dependant/nominee/successor (FA 2004, Sch. 29, para. 18(1), (2) ); or
