Where a trust is created by the will, income that has been received by the executors during the period of administration is passed to the trustees, after deduction of any costs of administration relating to it. Such a transfer commonly takes place when the assets from which it arises are transferred. This transfer is a distribution by the executors and a receipt of income by the trustees. This receipt is to be declared by the trustees on their own tax return.
