Partnerships have no tax liability but the profits or losses are nevertheless calculated at partnership level before being apportioned among the partners.

However, as profits are assessed to tax at partner level, the computation at partnership level must reflect the individual circumstances of the partner to be assessed, i.e. whether the partner will be subject to income tax or corporation tax and whether the partner (individual or company) is UK resident or not resident.
