There are various circumstances where the disposal value is limited, is nil or does not need to be brought into account at all (CAA 2001, s. 62–64).

General limit

As a first principle, the disposal value to be brought into account can never exceed the cost incurred on the asset by the person concerned (CAA 2001, s. 62(1)).
