FA 2008, Sch. 36, para 24 and 25 exempt auditors and tax advisers from the requirement to produce documents or allow inspection where the relevant documents are either audit papers or ‘relevant communications’ with clients.

These provisions are broadly equivalent to legal professional privilege (‘LPP’) in relation to tax. They are specific as to what documents are protected.
