Collectively referred to as Statutory Payments, this group of benefits must be mentioned in the context of social security benefits, although they cannot easily be labelled as either contributory or non-contributory. They are: Statutory Sick Pay (SSP); Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP); Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP); Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP); between 3 April 2011 and 5 April 2015, Additional Statutory Paternity Pay (ASPP); from 5 April 2015, Shared Parental Pay (ShPP); and from 6 April 2020, Statutory Parental Bereavement Pay.
